I'm 14 (turning 15 soon), and recently I've noticed that I have a bit of hair on my upper lip. I've read in magazines, and they recommended waxing for fine hair, and using depilatory (melting hair away) for medium or coarse hair. Would depilatory work for fine hair as well? Are there side effects to it (seeing that there are probably a lot of chemicals involved in it)? And would shaving it be a bad idea? If it is, why?

Well, my mom/dad unfortunately does not alllow me to shave my mustache (very sad:( ... ) so, I just rub/wax it, it works pretty well, and I purposely made that part kind of tan ( I'm pretty tan, since I play ALOT of sports) SHAVING is VERY BAD, and that is becuase when you shave hair, it would become more rough and grow more hair, that's why I don't do that.
