Oh yeah I've done that, no it won't hurt your perm at all, it's not acidic. It really works and it's really fun because if you wash you're hair with conditioner only (no shampoo) than it will stay in for a little over a week. But don't do it if you've recently died, colored, highlighted your hair...it'll stick to the new color! Oh, just mix the powder with a tiny bit of water untill it makes a paste and then just put it where you want it and leave it about 15 min...blow dry after you rinse it out...One more thing, Light colors won't work on dark hair unless you use lemon juice instead of water!

A couple people have done that at my school.
It looks pretty good for the first couple of days, but it eventually fades to a dull shade of whatever color you put in.
You just dunk your hair in the kool-aid and let it sit for a bit.
It shouldn't have any affect on your perm, its just food dye.

Hey, I need to color my hair red for real, do ya think I should try it or just go get some hair dye? I work in an office, so I cannot look stupid. But it seems inexpensive. Sorry to barge in on your question but I would like some opinions, please.
